A Trio of Christmas Cards

I was last minute getting at least a few Christmas cards done this year, so I went very clean and simple with most of them.

Card 1 - This is actually a spinner card that was challenging and fun to see in action.  I used stamps from Hello Bluebird, dies from Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn.

Card 2 - Holiday Seal from The Stamping Village with snowflakes by Lawn Fawn

Card 3 - Holiday Seal from the Stamping Village with Snowflake Wire by Memory Box.

Birthday Card with MFT and YNS

Here is a clean and simple Birthday card using My Favorite Things "Happy Birthday Circle Frame" and Your Next Stamp "Happy Dance"

The circle was cut from some holographic card stock.  For the happy gecko, I used Brusho colors to create a colorful piece that I then stamped him and heat embossed in white.

Birthday Card with Colorado Craft Company

My dad celebrated his 70th birthday this year.  So I made him this card using stamps from Colorado Craft Company and Hero Arts.

I stamped the cupcake from Colorado Craft Company Friend Cupcake (masking the strawberry) and heat embossed it in white embossing powder.  I colored it using my Polychromos colored pencils.  I stamped and heat embossed the numbers from Hero Arts Number Candles along with the flames and colored those also.  The sentiment from Colorado Craft Company Citrus Berry Cupcake was heat embossed and cut out using the matching die.

Thanks for looking!

Birthday Card with Tonic

My grandpa turns 90 this year!  And I wanted to make a special card, but it had to be masculine.  It took a bit of thinking and going through my stash, but I decided to try a Jennifer McGuire technique and do a shadow box card.

The Whaley Great stamp set from Tonic made the perfect scene along with help from Altenew's Bold Numerals.

I made the card 6-1/4" x 5 so that everything fit nicely including the rounded corner die that I used to cut the window.

The back ground was creating by layering Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch for the ocean and Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap along with some Sand embossing powder for the sea floor.

Mother's Day Card with Altenew

For this Mother's Day card I created a background using Altenew's Flower Vine set and colored it with Copics.  Here are the colors I used:  V01, V04, YG23, YG67, RV04, RV09, Y08, Y38, B21, B24.

I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Mom's Meadow which I heat embossed using Hero Arts gold glitter.  I fussy cut this out and them glued it to a piece of vellum which I also cut out a bit larger.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day Card with My Favorite Things

I wanted to do something different for my grandma for her Mother's Day card this year and I had this great sentiment from Technique Tuesday's Grandma Blessings set.  I decided that MFT's All the Cupcakes was the perfect set to compliment the sentiment.  I stamped each of the cupcakes and colored them in rainbows keeping the frosting white.  Here are the colors I used:

Brown: Y28, E57, E59

Violet: V01, V04, V06

Blue: B21, B24, B26

Red: R32, R35, R29

Green: YG03, YG17, YG67

White: C0, C2

Yellow: Y02, Y08, YR24

Orange: Y38, YR04, YR09

Fuschia:  YR14, YR09, YR29

Once done, I covered each with Wink of Stella for some shine and attached them to my 6x6 square card with foam tape.  Then I added a shadow to each and called the card done.

Thank you for visiting.  Any Happy Mother's Day!

Birthday Card with Simon Says Stamp

I created this card using Simon Says Stamp "Mom's Meadow".

I stamped the images using Taylored Expressions Oreo ink on Bristol paper and then colored them with my Zig Clean Color Markers.  Once they were dry, I used some Stickles and Nuvo Drops to add some interest.  The sentiment is from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero May 2020 kit.

Valentine's Day Card with Altenew

Some recent life events have caused my mojo to take a back burner.  I barely scraped this Valentine's Day card together for my husband.

I used Altenew's "Be A Lighthouse" stamp set along with Taylored Expressions masking heart stencil to stamp the scene.  Then I used Gina K inks to blend in some color.  Next I used my Polychromos pencils to add color to the lighthouse and landscape.

Christmas Card with My Favorite Things

I always seem to only make 1 Christmas card each year.  Here was 2020's card that went out:

For this card, I created a background using watercolor markers then die cut it with MFT "Starry Circle".  I die cut it a second time from some silver glitter paper and paper pieced the stars.  The puppy is from MFT "Happy Pawlidays" which I colored with Copics.  And the sentiment is from "Happy Holidays" by Altenew.

 Copics E31, E35, E37, YG23, YG17, Y17, Y15, W8, W6, C0, C1, R29, R35

Sympathy Card with Hero Arts

These are never easy to make cards, but I know the recipient will appreciate the sentiment.

I stamped the "Leafy Vines" from Hero Arts with Versafine and then the sentiment from "Fresh Freesia" by Altenew.  Next, I added some Hero Arts pearls and matted the card front with some matching purple paper.
