Birthday Card with Hero Arts

 My first card making in my new (temporary) home!

My dad's birthday is coming up and I needed something simple since the majority of my supplies are still packed.  I also needed something masculine.  Hero Arts My Monthly Hero to the rescue!

I used a few stamps from the 2020 August kit along with a sentiment from the 2019 July kit.

All were stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black and colored with Polychromos pencils.

Moving Fun!

 After living in Hawaii for 5 years, it became apparent that we needed to move back to the mainland; mainly due to healthcare.  I thought it was a lot of working moving from California to Hawaii, but now we decided to go to Tennessee!  

After lots of prep and packing, we loaded up a 20 foot container:

And loaded up our truck and trailer:

for the voyage across the Pacific.  Meanwhile, my husband and myself along with our 2 cats and 1 dog took 3 flights followed by a 2 hour drive to get to our new home.

And so far we love it!

We've Moved Cards with MFT & Newton's Nook

I've been meaning to post this one for some time, but moving is a lot of work!  Moving almost 5,000 miles over sea and land with 3 pets was almost unsurmountable.  But we made it!

I made a few cards right before I packed away all of my craft supplies so that I could share my new address with parents and grandparents.

Congratulations Wedding Card with Simon Says Stamp and Cas-ual Fridays

I love the "Heart to Heart" background stamp by Simon Says Stamp.  Here I did a watercolor wash background using my Aloha Watercolors (so sparkly!) and then heat embossed the stamp in white.

I used "Heartfelt Says" by Cas-ual Fridays Stamps for sentiment which was white heat embossed on a piece of vellum.

Father's Day with Concord & 9th

I kept this card very simple using the "Monster Hugs" stamp set from Concord & 9th.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's "Dad + Me".  All were stamped in Versafine and heat embossed.  Then I used the Altenew Watercolor 36 pan set and finished the image using a few Polychromos pencils.
